Winning Paintball Games Doesn’t Always Rely on Top Gear

Playing paintball can be a great way not only to have fun with friends and family. But if you are competitive in all aspects, it is also an awesome way to show off your sports abilities and prowess.

Here are some tips on how to play a good paintball game.

First, the trick is to keep moving. Even if you have the best paintball equipment, if you remain stationary, you or your team would probably lose. If your opponent doesn’t know where you are, then it would be harder for you to be hit.

Secondly, it is essential that you have a good paint to barrel match. Paintballs that fit your paintball gun barrel well have a more precise aim.

Preparation is key. It would be good to survey the playing arena before the actual match so you would know the best angles and hiding areas.

Of course, you would need to get yourself in shape days before your paintball match so that your focus would be on trumping your opponent, and not fighting to catch your breath.

Knowing your limitations is also key. If you are good in running, then best use it as an advantage. If you know that you are an good shot, don’t try to outrun your enemy, but instead conceal yourself in strategic places where can practically take them down like fish in a barrel.

Make sure you are wearing safety gear. This may just be a paintball game but that doesn’t mean safety comes last. So make sure that your have the proper safety gear, such as helmets, goggles, chest protectors and the like. You may think its clunky, and sometimes, it can be a tad
uncomfortable. But trust us, you’ll be regretting it if you didn’t put it on.

Keep in mind to aim before you fire. Most players tend to just fire paintball after paintball, but accuracy is still the name of the game.

After all has been said and done, paintball is a team sport, so you have to work together as a unit. Although some may come out as exceptionally great at playing the game, it is still important to discussstrategy with your team before the match commences and to constantly communicate with team members while the game is going on.

Work on your team play and we assure you, you may have average equipment, but your chances of winning the game are going to be much greater.

Your Fantasy Football Draft: Dial 911

Here we are, just at the opening start of NFL training camps and one of the many things problems with which owners need to concern themselves as they head into this year’s Fantasy Football draft is whether or not they have a visible enough grip on how the legal system will affect some options on their draft lists.

Under normal circumstances, a player heading back to the league after a season off, (usually due to injury), that owns the unbelievable athletic tools of a Michael Vick, could be named on a Fantasy sleeper list; a late round possibility with the potential to pay big dividends.  In Vick’s case, however, it could be weeks before we find out if he’ll be back at all.  After serving nineteen months in a federal penitentiary for his part in running an extensive interstate dog fighting ring, Vick was under house arrest until July.  Having been put on ice indefinitely by Roger Goodell, Vick must then convince the NFL commissioner that he is worthy of reinstatement; no easy task.  Then, and only then, can Vick and his people start out on the difficult course of identifying a franchise willing to withstand the public relations mess that will absolutely accompany a Vick signing.

At the wide receiver position, the future of a possible leader remains up in the air while another appears to have lost all value heading into this year’s fantasy football draft.  Plaxico Burress walked into a New York nightspot last year and literally shot the Giants’ Super Bowl chances right in the leg.  His own.  He was apprehended that night for the pistol he was hiding in the belt of his pants and has since put himself on the radar of none other than New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, who wants to make an example of Burress as part of his hardnosed stance against guns.  Waived by the Giants and freshly charged, Burress is facing a 2010 trial, and Burress is in search of a team.

The case of Cleveland Browns receiver Donte’ Stallworth, as played out in the Miami court system, is one that defies all logic.  After pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter charges for mowing down a Miami pedestrian and arranging a plea bargain, Stallworth served less than thirty days in jail.  There are additional penalties that are a part of the deal.  He is required to serve two years of house arrest, an eight year probation sentence, and submit to drug and alcohol testing.  He also reached an undisclosed financial agreement with the victim’s family and will perform 1,000 hours of community service as well as having  his driver’s license permanently revoked.  None of these sanctions, however, would have stopped him from pursuing his football career.

That is, until Goodell stepped in.  Noting that, while the criminal justice system had decided legal consequences, it was the duty of the commissioner to decide league discipline.  To that end, Goodell suspended Stallworth immediately and indefinitely.  Keep in mind, however, that while most think the banishment to be for at least a year, all parties involved will meet soon to determine the actual length of the penalty.

So, head right out and buy those Fantasy Football Draft magazines.  You might want to pick up a copy of The Law Review while you’re at it.
